About our Lessons

- Private lessons are an hour long and include instructional grooming and tack up time. Lesson time may also include ground work and other horsemanship instruction that is also a crucial component of understanding horses and riding. The activities of your lessons are up to the discretion of your instructor
- Our lessons are almost ALL WEATHER – please plan and dress accordingly. Your instructor will contact you in the rare event that your lesson is canceled. Keep in mind that horses do much better in cold and rain than in heat – your lesson is more likely to be canceled on a very hot day than a cold or rainy day.
- Hour long lessons are paid for on a monthly tuition basis and can be enrolled in weekly or biweekly regularly scheduled increments
- Tuition policies, pricing, and enrollment can be found here (forthcoming) and must be signed and returned for enrollment to begin
- First hour long private lesson, $65
- Drop in (not tuition) hour long private lessons, scheduled when available, after the first lesson, $70
- Group lessons may be offered at a discounted rate to a group of independent riders tacking up on own time
- Little Lessons $35, 30 minutes, ages 6-7 or when developmentally appropriate
- Pony Pals $25, 20 minutes lead line, ages 3-6
- Lesson tuition to be paid to @Sadie Grove Farm BUSINESS Venmo or cash by the first of the month, or at time of lesson for all Little Lessons and Pony Pals Students
- Riding waivers can be found here. They can be printed and returned at the time of your lesson or scanned and emailed to sadiegrovefarm@gmail.com
- We have a strict 24 hour cancellation policy as our instructors travel from far away to be here to teach you. If you feel your child may be unwell for their lesson, it is best to contact your instructor prior to 24 hours and make a plan with them. (Of course we understand that things happen and kids do get unexpectedly sick. *We can allow up to one free late cancel per calendar year). *Applicable to non tuition students, tuition students see tuition policies
